After a short layout block, I finally produced something that I'm satisfied with. It's been the first time in a long while when I pictured the layout in my head before I created it, and having it turn out almost to the desired effect. It was blue at first, but after tweaking the colors, I chose the more warmer shades of lavender, pink and orange. I originally inteneded to have a vectored layout, but I'm putting it aside for the moment and using it for some other time.
Anyway, the layout features manga images of Hitsugaya. I find it odd that the expression on his faces shift from very dramatic to very subtle. Also on the layout are various works by Yoshitaka Amano from his artbook Maten. The only brushes or default textures used are the default ones that come with PS. Any other effects were created by hand or are fonts. The fonts used are Barok, Georgia, Champignon, Blackadder ITC, CloisterBlack BT, and Champagne. The words on the layout are that of William Blake, from his poem "Auguries of Innocence", one of my favorite poems. The navigation is a bit different than what I normally have, so this is more of a horrible attempt to be creative. Overall, I inteneded to give the layout a more French/English/European feel rather than focusing on its Oriental, Japanese roots.
